To implement the strategic plan of the university’s Board of Directors for cultivating internationally oriented young faculty, strengthen the academic capacity of teachers in the UNIRAZAK Overseas Study Program, and comprehensively enhance their English proficiency and academic communication skills, the Academic English Training Course for Young Faculty officially commenced at Shaanxi University of International Trade & Commerce (SUITC) on the afternoon of November 5, 2025, at the Lide Building.
为贯彻落实学校董事会关于青年教师国际化培养的战略部署,强化UNIRAZAK海外深造项目教师的学术能力建设,全面提升青年教师的英语应用与学术表达水平,2025年11月5日下午,在立德楼隆重举行了UNIRAZAK海外深造项目青年教师学术英语课程开班仪式。

The training program is guided and supported by Chairman and President Professor Zhao Chao and Vice Chair Ms. Zhang Yujie,. The course is hosted by the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation and organized by the School of International Education, with Ms. Yu Xiaoxue serving as the course coordinator.
本次培训课程在我校董事长、校长赵超教授与副董事长张玉洁女士的指导和支持下开展,由国际交流与合作处主办,国际教育学院承办,课程聚焦学术英语的应用与表达,旨在帮助赴马来西亚敦阿都拉萨大学(Universiti Tun Abdul Razak, UNIRAZAK)深造的教师强化语言能力、拓展学术视野,为顺利完成海外博士学业打下坚实基础。培训费用由学校资助,充分体现了学校对青年教师成长与学术国际化的高度重视。
The program focuses on academic English use and communication, aiming to help teachers pursuing doctoral studies at Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK) in Malaysia strengthen their language skills and broaden their academic perspectives. The training is fully funded by the university, reflecting SUITC’s strong commitment to the growth and international academic development of its young faculty.
本课程的开设,是深入落实董事长、校长赵超教授提出的“三结合·五赋能”应用型人才培养理念的重要实践。学校以“以点带面”的方式,通过这一批海外深造的青年教师,带动全校教师队伍的国际化发展,培育具有全球视野与语言自信的教育力量,为学校的国际化办学与高质量发展注入持续动能。
This course represents an important practice in implementing Professor Zhao Chao’s “Three Integrations and Five Empowerments” model for cultivating applied talents. By adopting a “point-to-surface” approach, the university seeks to promote internationalization across the entire faculty body through this group of overseas scholars—nurturing globally minded, linguistically confident educators and continuously energizing the university’s high-quality, internationalized development.

The opening ceremony was hosted by Ms. Yu Xiaoxue, who introduced the background, structure, and objectives of the course. She emphasized that the training would focus on practical application and measurable outcomes, helping teachers strengthen their academic communication skills through language learning.
开班仪式由尉小雪老师主持。她介绍了学术英语课程的设置背景、教学安排及实施目标,强调此次培训将以应用为导向、以成果为核心,帮助教师在语言学习中提升研究表达能力。

Assistant to the President Mr. Zhang Lijun delivered a speech in English on behalf of the university. He noted that this course marks not only the beginning of English learning, but also an opportunity for intellectual renewal and academic expansion. Doctoral studies, he said, are not merely about degree advancement but about reshaping one’s thinking and research approach. Mr. Zhang encouraged young faculty members to seize this valuable opportunity, to transform what they learn into innovation in teaching and breakthroughs in research, and to showcase the international confidence and vitality of SUITC’s educators. He also expressed the hope that his own attitude toward learning would inspire colleagues to be proactive, reflective, and engaged in continuous academic growth.
校长助理张利军致辞。他指出,本次课程不仅是一场语言学习的开始,更是理念更新与学术视野拓展的契机。博士阶段的学习,不只是学历的提升,更是思维与方法的重塑。他鼓励青年教师珍惜机会,把学习成果转化为教学创新与科研突破,用更开放的姿态、更自信的表达,展示商贸学院青年教师的国际风采。他表示,希望通过自身学习的态度影响和激励大家,成为持续学习、敢于表达的榜样,真正实现“以学促教、以教促研”的目标。

Mr. Zhao Jingmin, Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, remarked that the university’s internationalization depends on the initiative and lifelong learning of its young faculty. He emphasized that this course serves as both the foundation of capacity building and an extension of the university’s open-education strategy. Mr. Zhao warmly invited the participants to frequently engage with the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, share their ideas and experiences, and contribute to SUITC’s international collaboration and academic innovation.
国际交流与合作处处长赵景民在发言中表示,学校的国际化进程离不开青年教师的主动成长与持续学习。本次课程不仅是能力建设的起点,更是开放办学理念的延伸。他热情欢迎海外深造的青年教师常到国际交流与合作处交流想法、分享经验、建言献策,共同推动学校的国际合作与学术创新。

Dean Wang Tong of the School of International Education also delivered remarks. On behalf of all the overseas doctoral candidates, he expressed sincere gratitude to Assistant to the President Mr. Zhang Lijun, Chairman and President Professor Zhao Chao, and Vice Chair Ms. Zhang Yujie for their consistent support. Dean Wang stressed that this English program is an essential part of the university’s young faculty development system. He urged all participants to make full use of this opportunity, to play a leading role in promoting internationalization across departments, and to integrate their overseas learning, insights, and experiences into SUITC’s teaching, research, and institutional development.

分类教学与持续提升

Following the opening ceremony, participants took an on-site English proficiency assessment. Based on the results, teachers were placed into two classes for differentiated instruction, enabling more precise and effective language training. Later, Mr. Ali and Mr. Elias, the program’s foreign instructors, introduced the upcoming course content and requirements, providing detailed guidance on classroom participation, research writing, and academic presentation. Their insights further enhanced the program’s relevance and effectiveness.
在开班仪式结束后,学校组织了现场英语水平测验。全体参训教师根据测试结果分为两个教学班,实施分层分类教学,以便精准提升英语应用与学术表达能力。随后,两位外籍教师——Ali先生与Elias先生分别对后续课程内容与教学要求进行了详细讲解,从课堂参与、研究写作及学术表达等方面为教师们提供了针对性指导,进一步增强了课程的实用性与成效性。

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the School of International Education distributed faculty access cards that allow participants to use the Apple Study Lounge, Billiards Café, and Fitness Area—offering a comfortable and engaging space for learning and exchange. Dean Wang explained that these facilities were built with continuous support from the Board of Directors to create an integrated environment for study, leisure, and cross-cultural interaction, benefiting both students and faculty members in international programs.The launch of this Academic English Training Course marks a new milestone in the internationalization of SUITC’s young faculty development and injects fresh momentum into the university’s ongoing efforts in postgraduate education, international cooperation, and high-level academic research.
会后,国际教育学院向所有参训教师颁发了国际教育学院活动室通行教师卡,可通行国际教育学院苹果自习室、台球咖啡厅与健身区,为教师们提供更加开放、舒适的学习与交流环境。,在王院长带领下,部分教师参观了国际教育学院新建的活动区域。王同院长介绍,这些建设均得益于学校董事会的持续支持,旨在为青年教师与国际项目学员打造集学习、休闲与文化体验于一体的高品质空间。
此次学术英语课程的开班,标志着我校青年教师国际化培养工作迈上了新台阶,也为学校未来的硕士点建设、国际合作与高水平科研发展注入了新的动力与活力。
